Plantware Biodegradables^TM is our own brand of biodegradable plant-based foodservice disposables.  Plantware is now available in coffee cups, biodegradable CPLA bioplastic cutlery and sugar cane fiber tableware and to-go containers.  These products are made by or for Loopy Lupine, and available for distribution in Alaska.  The factories we deal with are clean and safe, and the workers are treated fairly.  Plantware Biodegradables^TM are manufactured to meet the health and safety requirements of the FDA.  There is no reason to use petroleum coated coffee cups, styrofoam clamshells, petroleum-based cutlery, or tree-based plates any longer.

Hot Cups

Now available in white, and soon available in custom prints, these cups are made right here in Homer, Alaska.  The cup board is made from sustainably harvested wood, and the inside coating is PLA, a bioplastic compostable coating.  The cups are sturdy, yet compostable after use.  Soon we will have bioplastic lids to offer so that the whole combination will be compostable.

Tableware and To-Go Containers

v    Made from bagasse (sugar cane fiber), a natural byproduct of the sugar refining process.  Bagasse is an abundant renewable resource that is an excellent replacement for tree-based disposable tableware

v    Some items are available in unbleached natural color, which treads lighter on the planet by eliminating the harmful dioxins in wastewater associated with chlorine bleaching

v    Completely biodegradable and compostable in home or commercial composting settings

v    High quality heat and cut resistant

v    Manufactured in China for Loopy Lupine.  Factory workers are treated fairly, with worker health and safety prioritized
