Loopy Lupine is dedicated to providing environmentally responsible products at a fair price with great local service. Alaska’s environment is important to us, and even small choices in what you buy can have a huge impact. If you or your business is looking to make the switch to sustainable products we can help.
Loopy Lupine supplies Alaska with environmentally conscious, recycleable, and compostable foodservice, paper and cleaning products. Since 2010, we also manufacture LoopyCups – our own locally-made, custom printed, and compostable hot cups. LoopyCups are used by coffee shops, restaurants and health organizations all over Alaska.
LoopyCups are manufactured in Homer, Alaska using paper from sustainably harvested forests. The paper is coated with PLA, a compostable polymer made from corn – not petroleum. We manufacture LoopyCups in four sizes: 8oz, 12oz, 16oz and 20oz.
LoopyCups are available with stock prints by local artists, or custom printed with your logo. Our flexographic printer can produce up four color CMYK logos. Plain white cups are also available in all four sizes.
Along with compostable cups, we also offer LoopyLids – our compostable CPLA lids for 12, 16 and 20oz LoopyCups. LoopyLids are custom made for us and embossed with our logo. Compostable CPLA lids for our 8oz LoopyCups are also available.

Loopy Lupine offers a wide variety of environmentally responsible food service items to help combat waste and pollution in Alaska. If your cafe or restaurant is looking for an alternative to foodservice items made from non-renewable petrochemicals, we have the solution.
Future Plastic / Polystyrene Bans
More communities in Alaska are voting to limit or stop the use of single-use plastic and polystyrene foodservice items. This includes plastic to-go bags, utensils, straws, plates, clamshells, and bowls. Help keep these non-biodegradable single-use items out of our oceans and waterways by switching over to green alternatives.
A waste product of the sugarcane industry, sugarcane fiber – also known as bagasse, is an ideal material manufacturing to-go clamshells, plates, bowls, trays and many other disposable foodservice items.
Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a clear bioplastic produced from corn instead of petrochemicals. It is biodegradable, compostable and renewable.
Along with our LoopyCups and LoopyLids, we stock the other coffee essentials your cafe or restaurant needs – all recycled, compostable and sustainable.
Single use plastic straws are detrimental to the environment and especially our oceans. Amid some high-profile disposable straw bans, like the one enacted by Seattle, more and more people are making the switch to recycleable, compostable paper straws.
